The mission of Healing Matters is to provide high quality clinical services for clients to reach their full human potential while being committed to each individual’s uniqueness. Healing Matters is devoted to assisting clients with healing from the inside out.
Heather Mattison has a bachelor's degree in Psychology and a minor in Business Management from the University of North Carolina at Asheville . Heather received her masters in Mental Health Counseling in 2017. She has been a practicing Licensed Mental Health Counselor since 2018. Heather has worked in the Mental Health and Intellectual Developmental Disability field in various roles for 12 years.

Heather ascribes to several different theories such as Cognitive Behavioral Theory, Person Centered Theory, and Gestalt Theory. Heather's interest include working with children, adolescents, and adults with Autism, Intellectual Developmental Disabilities, Depression, Anxiety, Grief and Loss, ADHD, Trauma, and behavioral issues. Heather individualizes her approaches based on the needs of the clients
Lisa Butler is a licensed clinical social worker that received her masters degree from Boston University in 2017. She has a bachelor's degree in psychology with a double minor in sociology and child and family development from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Lisa has been practicing as a clinical social worker since 2018 and has worked in the mental health field for 7 years in community based, in-home, and outpatient settings serving children, adolescents, young adults and families.

Lisa’s therapeutic approach utilizes cognitive behavioral therapy while integrating a strengths-based, person centered approach in addition to motivational interviewing, social skills and parenting skills. Lisa values a collaborative approach in her practice
